Tufan Demir

Tufan Demir keeps the creative side of his brain heavily occupied. With a masters degree in sound engineering, he spins house and disco under his own name, while under his Beto Narme moniker he delves into the darker side of the groove, producing a unique garage techno hybrid. He still finds time to craft luscious, ambient soundscapes under the guise Sensible Sucker, as well as covering the most forward-looking clubs in Istanbul with shimmering, glitchy grooves. Tufan’s musical spell doesn’t end there though: he’s played at influential festivals like Sónar and c/o Pop, and dropped his seductive rhythms on Istanbul-based labels such as Tektosag, Vesvese and Sublime Porte. If you want to hear what’s going on in his musical world, you can always scroll through his Sensible Sucker blog, for a wealth of current gems, podcasts and music feeds.
