thebassmonkey

thebassmonkey is a prog house producer and label owner who hates DJing and would much rather be on the dancefloor tapping his foot or doing the pointy finger dance or whatever terrible moves he still has hidden in his 40-something-year-old locker. He’s had releases out on Pangea Recordings and in early 2025 started his own label Friday Island - a deep prog house venture inspired by the deep/dark/hypnotic/tribal magic of the early 2000s prog era. It’s music for dark sweaty rooms and dancefloors where no Instagram nobheads have got their stupid phones out.
