Sylph

Born in The Netherlands, Sylph grew up in a very musical environment, playing the cello at five years of age and later on the violin. Moving away from her classical music training during her early 20s, she became intrigued by the sound of progressive / tech house music, resulting in the purchase of her first set of turntables. The mixes she recorded landed her a number of gigs during the early 2000s, including 'Virus Festival' and 'Exclaim!' Dance Event. After her move to London and subsequently Perth, Australia, to pursue a career as a high school teacher, Sylph took a break from the scene until recently. Switching from vinyl to digital, she has found a renewed passion for discovering unique releases and creating 'musical journeys' with her mixes. Her mixes are characterised by Progressive beats and melodies, although her track selection includes a range of genres from Melodic Techno / Organic house to EDM.
