Smeti

SMETI is a producer, Live-Act and DJ from Prague, Czech Republic. His sound is mostly focused on Deep-House and Atmospheric Techno.The only member Vojtěch Smetana was born in the early 80's. When he was around 14, he discovered a music software, called Impulse Tracker, thanks to his friend from growing up. That was the moment which happened to be the first encounter with a DAW for him and since that time, he got completely hooked on making electronic music. Smeti is an old nickname from high school and it actually means rubbish, in Czech language. Vojtěch was exploring many genres from Trip Hop through IDM to hard Industrial, and collecting the most dirty sounds possible. He established an audiovisual Dark-Electronic project Anhedonia which was active since 2006 till 2013. While working on Anhedonia, Vojtěch has also made several CD's of production music for the Czech music library Fontana. One of the tracks was used in the TV advertisement for Peugeot. Growing older and reaching the magical 30, he was able to clean his sound a little and finally discovered which genre and sound suits him the best.
