Sebastian Rex

Sebastián Pazos is the man behind Rex. Born in buenos aires in 1981. At an early age he falls in love with disco and funky music thanks to a father's friend who brings him some mixtapes that included artists like Gap Band, Bernard Wright, Parliament Funkadelic, KC and the Sunshine Band, Frankie Smith, Chic and many more. Influenced also by rock, punk, glam, grunge, new age, ambient, drum & bass, soul, acid jazz, Hip hop, world’s and ethnic music, etc. Rex’s long-running love affair with Chicago house and Detroit techno began in the mid 90s thanks to Urban Groove (precursors in the Argentinian local scene) In 2003 is when he starts to play in the underground scene and take it more seriously with Kintar and a few years later they launch Sudam recordings. As his interest, knowledge and skills developed, Rex defines his style with the ability to combine lab and deep sounds, atmospheric pads, and dub with strong beats. Nowdays his sessions go from experimental to microhouse and dub techno. Throughout his career rex has played in important clubs and in many countries as Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Uruguay, Holland & Spain among others. Was host and participated in radios as Ibiza global radio, Friskyradio.com , Eilo.org, Etn.fm, Kiss fm, Mercury Server & www.protonradio.com . He Also played at Pacha Buenos Aires, Sankeys, Ibiza bloop art festival to name a few gigs. Last 2 years he decide to back to the roots and back to play with vinyl again. Rex is now working hard in the studio in his own stuff and leaving his message behind the music.
