RUFUS SCHOLZ

Rufus Scholtz, born and bread in the heart of Johannesburg, and home to where his musical journey began. His love for House music and all the sub legs there off began 15 years ago and grew stronger by the day when he was managing Africa's biggest dance festival H20. By making use of equipment at his finger tips self taught Rufus Scholtz decided that music had now become a way of life for him. Not an income, but a Hobby “ At a young age running around with SL1200's and Gemini Mixers in the rain from floor to floor with power tripping due to rain at outdoor festivals, I realised the importance of time and certain equipment and how precious both those elements were. It started growing on me, it wasn’t long before I started getting into trouble for messing around with the gear, but well worth it. Soon Rufus started playing at Festivals as big as Deadmau5, Fat Boy Slim, Paul Van Dyk, Avicci, AfroJack, Nicky Remero, Steve Aoiki, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and more and ultimately at UltraFest SA”
