Over the course of his career, Ricardo has been involved with several successful bands and projects, while developing his own distinctive sound as a solo artist. Ricardo’s musical identity is deeply rooted in the classic sounds that shaped electronic music. Influenced by artists such as Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, Koto and Laserdance, as well as the early days of Acid House, Rave and Techno, he combines these inspirations with the contemporary aesthetics of melodic and progressive electronic music. His productions are characterized by classic synthesizer arpeggios, ethno-inspired elements, atmospheric pads, hypnotic melodies and driving, pumping rhythms. The result is a sound that balances nostalgia and modernity, emotion and energy, creating immersive journeys designed equally for the dancefloor and deeper listening. With an extensive discography, continuous releases and a sound that keeps evolving, Ricardo Piedra remains a distinctive and prolific voice within the international Progressive and Organic House scene.
