RED JERRY

Jerry Dickens, stage name Red Jerry, born 17.08.1967, at various times DJ, music producer, remixer, record shop owner, digital retailer, journalist and digital marketing manager . Born and raised in Camden/Kentish Town North London,graduated from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, Univ. of London, in 1989, founded Hooj Choons in 1991 with ex school mate Phil Howells. Howells left in 1992 to join FFrr, Hooj went on to release 150 + 12's/Albums/CDs until folding in 2002. Highlights included Felix's 'Dont You want Me'(co produced by Red Jerry and Rollo) Energy 52's 'Cafe Del Mar' ( voted #1 Dance Record of all time by Pete Tongs/Radio 1 listeners ) Nalin + Kanes' 'Beachball' ,Marmion "Shonenburg" , Greece 2000 "Three Drives" , LSG's 'Netherworld', Datar ( Danny Tenaglia ) "U" , Trancetters "Roaches " , Halo Varga "Future", Katcha "Touched by God". Hooj was voted Dance Label of The Year by Muzik Magazine in 1998.
