Oriola 701
Biography
Oriola 701 is an electronic music quartet from Latvia that has been active for more than 15 years. The band's first official release under the name 'Oriola' dates back to July of 2005 when they had their track 'Welder Girl' pressed on vinyl with remix by Sweden's Laid. The band has reformed in 2012 when original duo of Andrew 'Les' Leskovsky and Vital Drozdov were joined by Gerri Pavloff and Paul Melamed to form Oriola 701. Since then the band has performed a number of shows, known for Gerri's live vocals and an eclectic dance style. In late 2013, the band's remix was featured on Taran and Lomov's 'Sex und Liebe' EP released on UK's Manchester Underground Music. 2014 has been somewhat fruitful as the band came out with two original releases: 'Magical Mystical' EP on swedish Oh! Records label featuring a remix by Jean F. Cochois (The Timewriter) and 'Computer Hope' EP on Amber Muse Records, including remixes by Phonetica and Pincer Movement (Simon Mills and Stephen Porter).
