OneCanChan is a Dublin DJ with Chinese roots, shaped as much by time spent working in record shops - surrounded by an ever-changing mix of sounds - as by long, sweaty nights on the dancefloor. That experience runs through everything they do, grounding their approach in a genuine love for club culture and a deep respect for the dancefloor as a shared space. Moving across different shades of house, from prog and Chicago to tech and disco, alongside acid, breaks and global influences, their sets are fluid and emotionally tuned. Warm, organic percussion is a constant thread, tying together a sound that’s guided more by feeling than genre. Beyond the booth, they’re an active advocate for nightlife and grassroots culture in Ireland. As co-founder of @shimmerdublin, an open DJ and arts community, they’ve helped foster an inclusive platform for emerging artists and dancers alike, championing the kind of spaces that first inspired them. They’ve performed alongside some of Ireland’s most respected collectives, including Foxgluv, HONEYPOT, Club Comfort and Dublin Modular. Their mixes have travelled across both local and international airwaves, with appearances on Dublin Digital Radio (Fuaim, Mast Hour, Out of Space), Refuge Radio Berlin (Cosy Crates w/ Pat Jennings), and The Cosmic Cast in Naarm. Recent highlights include a Paddy’s Eve support slot for Overmono, as well as opening for Kapote and Cody Currie at Toy Tonics’ Dublin debut, and sharing bills with Moving Still and Coy Haste (Caribou).
