Biography

NIKO MAYER began his musical career in the mid 90s, during his teenage years. He learned to play the guitar, and was part of a well-known power metal band as well as performing in some school´s and club parties. Shortly after that, Xai Xai disco brought him and Zafa Alvear -an extremely well known DJ at that time - together. After that, he began to break through in electronic music becoming one of the youngest and most wanted DJs in Northern Buenos Aires where he started his explosive career as a Progressive and House DJ. NIKO based his “progressive” influences on Underworld, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Digweed, Warren and his “House” upon Franky Knucles, Tenaglia and Lee Burridge.
