Moritz Butschek

"Probably one of the best-known names on the Munich club scene at the moment," was a common sight. Moritz Butschek is resident DJ of the railway attendant Thiels and Wannda Circus. Two unique institutions that he also supports in booking. In his hometown Munich you can often find him in other venues like Harry Klein or once the MMA - Mixed Munich Arts. Even cultural institutions such as the Kunsthalle München or the Museum Villa Stuck have already invited him. In addition, he makes regular trips to Berlin to make guest appearances in Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke or Wilden Renate, for example. He made further stops, among others, in Hamburg in the South Pole and the Circolo degli Artisti in Rome. In addition, he enriched the line-ups of various festivals, including the Chiemsee Summer, the Her with the beautiful life on Rügen and the Corfu Odyssey Festival in Greece. Alongside greats like Black Coffee, Einmusik, Kerala Dust, Mira & Chris Schwarzwälder, Rampue or the Kater Blau DJs, his music found the perfect complement. He also enthusiastically supported concerts such as those of Metronomy or Digitalism. He has demonstrated his musical expertise for years with the record labels Toy Tonics, Gomma and Kryptox. As initiator of the online magazine Two In A Row, Moritz Butschek not only deals with the curation of cultural tips for the Munich scene, but also regularly invites aspiring and well-known artists to enrich the associated podcast series with electronic music. In the meantime, Two In A Row also stands for successful parties, which Moritz Butschek organizes in changing locations with selected DJ colleagues. The Süddeutsche Zeitung has recognized his stylish selection, for which he takes over the curation of the Sound Of Munich Now Electronica Festival every year.
