Biography
Grew up in a small mining town in NW Queensland. Think Wolf Creek but without the culture. We had one commercial radio station in Mt Isa and January country music month seemed to stretch for all 12 months of the year. Got my first taste of instrumental/orchestral music around the age of 12 when I heard the soundtrack to a movie called We of the Never Never. I was hooked from then on, and when all my mates were listening to AC/DC, Poison, Twisted Sister and other assorted bands, I was into Alan Parsons Project, Art of Noise, Mike Oldfield etc. Needless to say I got a few strange looks. Moved to Brisbane in 89 and was in a wondrous city of new music. Bought a pair of crappy belt driven turntables around 93 and started to teach myself mixing. First 12" was Paranoimia featuring Max Headroom by Art of Noise. First dance 12" was Jump by Funkatarium. Favourite Producer/s: Jamie Stevens and Stereo Underground Favourite DJ: Anthony Pappa As a DJ I really am drawn to the melodic and funkier sides of progressive. Some of it can get a bit repetitive and if that's the case I will mix quite quickly from track to track, sometimes only playing the breakdown of a track. Oh, and if you're asking, yes. I have that on vinyl.
