Manchild

Manchild AKA Daz 'Manchild' Smith is a Greater Manchester DJ with house music in all its various guises flowing through his veins. Born and bred in Oldham, he has been hooked on music for as long as he can remember. Playing many different styles, his style is almost impossible to pigeon hole due to him playing pretty much whatever he likes. Comfortable playing any time at any type of event, whether that be warmup, peak-time, closing time or sexy time; all that matters most of all to the Manchild is that the crowd have the most untold time. After only getting back into DJing in mid-2019 after a very long absence for family reasons and initially playing tech house and minimal upon his return, he fell back in love the more progressive and melodic sound all over again in late 2019, whilst also heavily indulging in breaks, melodic techno and indie dance. His versatility allows him to flit seamlessly between all of the above; and after getting to regularly share lineups with the likes of Anthony Pappa, Jody Wisternoff, Marsh, John 00 Fleming, Richie Blacker, Mr Sosa, Estiva, My Friend, John Kelly, Dave Beer and many more at venues such as London's Ministry of Sound, EGG, the Steel Yard and Manchester's Joshua Brooks and Stage & Radio, he is starting to reap the rewards and the future looks bright for the Manchild.
