Following a soul-searching hiatus that began in 2014 and spanned nearly three years, long-time NYC-based DJ and producer Kev Obrien is back in full-swing, readying himself for the launching of he and Ibiza-based partner Mik Santoro’s Eyedyllic Music imprint. Eyedyllic Music is a family affair, dedicated to releasing “beautiful music, which just so happens to be composed by amazing human beings who’ve dedicated their lives to the art of making music, and have found one another through sheer serendipity over the course of the past year”. The newly born label has music coming already from both well-known and up-and-coming stalwarts such as James Teej, Keira, Tone of Arc, David Marston, No Regular Play, and of course the label-heads, Kev Obrien and Mik Santoro, as well as others which will be announced soon. Prior to his lengthy hiatus, Kev and his former signature brand, Stranjjur, were and continue to be to this day, widely revered and supported across the industry. Regularly recognized by peers and fans alike for his abilities to craft spell-binding DJ sets has sent him far and wide across the globe. After playing nearly every venue NYC had to offer, he’s headlined parties both big and small, both solo and with Chris Luzz as Manhattan Projject, as far down as South Africa, Central America, and off to Europe and back; not to mention a litany of U.S. gigs that’s criss-crossed the map. All the while, reaching a global fanbase as his former globally syndicated radio show, Stranjj Selections, reached millions over the span of its five-year run. With a move to Europe quickly appearing upon the horizon for Obrien, 2018 looks to be one in which he and his newfound musical family shall truly plant their feet in the ground upon their Eyedyllic Settings.
