Biography
Known to many for her energy driven productions on the likes of Suara, Material, Relief and her own Kittball imprint, Juliet Sikora’s work and effort within the studio certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed by those within the world of house. Following her first release on Opaque Music in 2006 alongside German duo Tube & Berger, a longstanding relationship both in and out of the studio with the pair led to a string of notable releases including their Beatport topping 2013 collaboration ‘Come On Now (Set It Off)’, which was later picked up by Pete Tong’s FFRR imprint, coupled with a highly successful and ever-expanding record label. Juliet is also responsible for the running of Kittball, the Dortmund-based label she co-owns alongside Tube & Berger. The imprint currently sits within the Top 15 selling Deep House labels of all time on Beatport, welcoming original material form the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Junior Jack, Andhim and DeMarzo, plus remixes from Dennis Cruz, Wade, German Brigante to name just a few, and looks set to continue flourishing under the guidance of Sikora and her fellow Kittball family members. As a DJ, Juliet frequently finds herself behind the decks and sharing the booth with industry heavyweights at some of the worlds biggest clubs and festivals, including Mayday and Parookaville (Germany), Rex Club (Paris), Egg (London) and Labyrinth Club (Belgium), whilst annual Kittball showcases during Sonar’s Off Week (Barcelona), ADE (Amsterdam) and across numerous European capitals now make up regular fixtures in the diary. 2018 proved to be one of Juliet’s biggest years to date with her stand out release ‘What Did I Tell Ya’ on Green Velvet’s Relief imprint reaching #1 in Beatport’s Tech House chart before remaining in the top 100 for the next for five months and finishing as the platform’s 12th best selling Tech House track of the year, whilst releasing further material in the form of remixes of Simion on Cajual and Black Girl / White Girl, plus a notable collaborative EP alongside Flo MRZDK on Kittball. As we move through 2019, Juliet looks set to continue her recent string of both solo and collaborative releases, starting with a remix for Claptone, a release on Format:B’s Formatik imprint, whilst further original material and a series of European and Worldwide dates are also set to arrive across the year ahead.
