Biography
Started DJing back in the nineties, he moved the crowds at several clubs around Madrid, Asturias and Santander in Spain. Dancefloors of lengendary clubs as "Archy", "Mondino", "Oh! Madrid" or "Oh! Santander" were his domains. That was the the club's golden era in the late nineties at Spain, when there weren't closing hours and parties seemed to last forever. Later, in the 2000s, he became resident at "Pacha Madrid".
He also worked in some recording studios as a producer and taught musical related computer science (MIDI, digital audio, etc) at CES (Sound Studies Center of Madrid).
Now his main work is not behind the decks but he never let them down. He usually plays at important events during the year, delivers fresh sets via his podcast and Frisky Radio and make distinct kinds of audio productions.
JuanP's radio sets are eclectic and intense. He loves to mix non-similar tracks together creating complex blendings that make the transitions a fundamental part of his work, often slightly remixing the components and adding new layers of sounds and arrangements.
Something he wants to make clear is that radio sets are not meant to be played in a dance club. In front of a audience, it has to be a bond between you and them, resulting of that is the track or tracks that will be chosen next to build a great set. But when a set isn't played live, the most important thing is making the listener travel across the distinct moods of each track, focusing in its blending more that its genre. The goal is making your car journey, your training, working or simply chilling out at home greater.
