As an 80’S kid raised on New wave music and quickly finding a love for electronic sounds , it was easy to transition to the dance music scene from its inception. Cutting his teeth as a clubber at Kelly’s N. Ireland which later rebranded as Lush and became one of the most famous dance clubs in the UK and Ireland, hosting events such as the launch party to Northern Exposure to the BBC ONE Essential mix, Getting to hear the best DJ’S in the world at the venue from Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren to name but a few. He also found himself weekly at his local dance venue The Point Inn. This is where he found his favourite sound in progressive house music. Visting this hugely important venue in the North west to hear everyone from Carl Cox, Mr. C, Vertigo, Rob Tiserra to the local DJ’S Glen Molly, Paul P. and Colin Bass serve up the freshest music every week. This is when it became a mission for him to finding the latest tracks for himself buying up all the vinyl he could and getting to work on the 1210’s. Fast forward 30+ years and his love for the music scene burns as brightly as ever, now as a resident on Saturo Sounds radio station as part of the Indoctrinate Collective with his musical brothers in Colin Laird and Darren Mc Menamin, to also hosting a Bi weekly radio show on Dublin’s Phever fm. Not content with just the regular radio air time 2022 saw the first of many club nights, Hosting and playing alongside none other than Anthony Pappa and Harry Lemon for the inaugural Indoctrinate Live event held in Ireland’s capital Dublin, 2023 continues to be busy after hosting Luke Brancaccio and playing at Pitchfest in Wexford and both their events this year. It is sure to be a busy time ahead for Joe and the Indoctrinate brand.
