Jigsaw

Bernard Marjaba hails from Lebanon, was born in 1992, and has moved to Montrèal in 2018. Music has always been a part of his life. He was introduced to electronic music by his older brother during the golden age of progressive trance between 2002 and 2008. He started mixing in 2010 while being introduced to the sounds of masters Nick Warren, Guy J, Cid Inc., and many more who have positively shaped the electronic music scene we have today. He only considered playing gigs after moving to Montreal, where he had his first two in 2020. His sound circles around the deeper side of progressive house and trance, favouring emotion, groove, and drive. The name Jigsaw is based on the concept of similarity between building a musical journey and constructing a jigsaw puzzle. Every element, whether a sound or a track, has a unique and significant contribution to the journey as a whole. Appreciating the impact this puzzle piece has on the overall story is one of the few similarities between the art of DJ-ing and the art of production. This project aims to explore those arts and dig into the deeper realms of sound.
