Paula Corces, also known as Helpmeimblonde is a female Spanish DJ originally from Madrid, now based in Brighton. After years of studying music at University and professional schools, she discovered her passion for electronic music and decided to kick start her career as a DJ in the city. She considers herself as a banging Techno DJ, she plays everything from Deep House to Techno, with a special passion to go hard with genres like Drum & Bass or Psytrance. Her style is always linked to deep and overwhelming sounds which will take you to another world, creating atmospheres where you will be forced to dance all night long until you burn a hole in the soles of your shoes. She started as part of a female DJ collective, Dance Upon a Time; after that she hosted her own weekly radio show on Codesouth FM called Femmetronik, where she looked at promoting and supporting women in the electronic music industry. Now she's the co-owner with Ago de Felice of one of the main Techno nights in Brighton, The B S M N T After Hours as well as hosting a radio show with the same name on Trickstar Radio. Resident of Berlin - Brighton she has recently shared line up with Ben Rau and she has recorded a session as part of the Brighton mixtape series alongside an interview for with Markus Saarländer. She has also collaborated with Twisted Frequencies. As well as playing in many of the great venues Brighton has to offer including Volks, Zahara Club, Latest Music Bar, The Bees Mouth, The Rossi Bar, Tempest Inn, Green Door Store and The Cowley Club she’s also a regular at underground raves. Kicking off 2020 in style, she landed a residency as 'the Brighton DJ competition winner’ and played alongside Lola, Markus Saarländer and Pete Bidwell at The Tempest Inn for circle.
