Genetic Rhythm is the brainchild of Dublin Based DJ\Producers Karl Lambert and Tony Pugh. It was conceived as a side project to their successful Grooveboy alias to allow them to explore their tougher side and create their own brand of Driving Tech House / Indie Dance with a uniquely Irish flavour. The Genetic Rhythm sound is both familiar and unique and is as the name suggests constantly evolving. It was formed by years of listening to and playing House and Techno in all its many wonderful and beautiful guises. It is as much inspired by the sound of Detroit and Berlin as it is by global club brands like Global Underground, Bedrock, and Renaissance. Both Karl and Tony come to the party with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience having been involved in almost every aspect of the clubbing experience including Club Promotion, Record Shop Owner, Record Label Bosses and Karl until recently ran one of the internet’s fastest rising and most exciting underground dance music radio stations Play FM Dublin. Genetic Rhythm have had their music released on various labels around the world including their own Grooveboy Music, Perception Music, No Smoking Records, Sleepless Nights Recordings, and Mistique Music. Their remix of Dom Scott & Elle Marchelle feat Kenny Mc Neil – I Try For You was highly acclaimed and featured heavily in Nick Warrens radio show, Soundgarden and his recent DJ sets. With hot new tracks and remixes primed and ready for release on labels like Grooveboy Music and Perception Music, 2013 is promising big things for Genetic Rhythm. One thing’s for sure the Genetic Rhythm sound will continue to evolve and demand your attention for some time to come.
