Funksun

Funksun (Sunny Pednekar) hails from a family deeply rooted in Indian classical music in Siolim, Goa. His father is a professional classical musician, while his grandfather was a skilled craftsman of the harmonium. Growing up in this rich musical environment, Funksun naturally embraced the art form, carrying forward the legacy with his own vision and imagination. With over a decade of club residency experience, he has been an active part of the electronic music scene since 2009, beginning his journey on the iconic shores of Anjuna, Goa. His sound is defined as deep, dark, hypnotic grooves and intricate melodies—an unmistakable signature that forms the foundation of his music. Forward-thinking and unafraid to take risks, Funksun brings a sense of adventure and freshness to every production. His recent releases on India’s prolific progressive house label, Juicebox Music, have earned support from industry legends across the globe. His remix of Blanka Barbara’s Celestial Trail stood out as one of his most successful works, receiving consistent support from artists such as Guy J, Kasper Koman, Sébastien Léger, Nicolas Rada, and many more.
