From the early roots of his West Midland studio, to pioneering releases through reputed major labels, Funkagenda’s stamp on dance music can be felt across the world. A devoted passion for music alongside an embrace of technology, has fortified Funkagenda as a vanguard of the ‘tough but melodic big room house sound’ (DJ Mag) Adam Walder aka Funkagenda has risen from some of house music’s most iconic labels, including Positiva, Subliminal and Defected. Additionally to being a key member of Toolroom Records and owner of his own Funk Farm label, 2013 has seen Funkagenda release the two-track Samsara EP on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label, thereby becoming a member of the world-renowned Dim Mak family and headlining Dim Mak events in the US. Funkagenda’s sound attracts musical partnerships across a spectrum of genres, remixing artists such as Basement Jaxx, Moby, Fatboy Slim and Dirty Vegas. His production contributions to the Black Eyed Peas album ‘The E.N.D.’ were further recognized by an Album of the Year nomination and a Best Pop Vocal Album award at the 52nd Annual Grammys. After taking some time off at the end of 2013, Adam is back with his new track One Day At A Time, which is out on Armada Music in late May. He’s already received huge support from Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond and many more. With more time in the studio and exciting new productions on the horizon, 2014 is set to be a big year for Funkagenda.
