Born in the heart of the Amazon, in Tarauacá (Acre), Wagner found his path in music from an early age, influenced by classics such as Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bee Gees, and traditional Brazilian folk and popular rhythms. At 14, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he immersed himself in rock and blues bands as a guitarist. However, a trip to Europe and a transformative experience at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium ultimately connected him to electronic music. While recovering from a serious accident in Venice, Wagner left behind a career in engineering and fully committed to music production, giving birth to the Evokings project — a name that symbolizes a call back to his artistic essence. Since then, Evokings has become one of the leading names in Brazil's electronic scene. With platinum-certified hits like “Gravity” and standout collaborations such as “Amber” with Maz and “No More” with UK duo Maur, the project has gained international recognition, performing in countries like South Africa, Mozambique, and Uruguay. Supported by major artists such as Tiesto, Vintage Culture, Diplo, Hugel, Maz, Nora en Pure, Solardo, Meduza, Oliver Heldens, Gorje Hewek, and Lost Desert and many others. Wagner also achieved a lifelong dream by performing at the Rock in Rio festival. Nowadays, he continues to evolve his sound, navigating through organic, progressive, and house music.
