Biography
Vanessa Tardiff aka Eris was born in Washington D.C. in 1984 to two vinyl junkies. Her earliest memory is of watching MTV for hours and knowing the lyrics to the songs on the radio. Raised on a mixture of synth pop and metal, the range of musical intake was broad. Music was the lens through which everything was viewed and became a way of life and connecting with others to the point of obsession. Eventually taking up DJing in mid-twenties after frequenting D.C. clubs like Nation and Insomnia, compelled to share more of what she loved, she grew a penchant for playing all things dark and progressive thanks to influences like DJ Tarkan and Moshic. Her mixes have been featured on clubsradio.com, insomniafm.com, beattunes.com, several shows on tribalmixes.com, and she also took part in the huge anniversary shows for Deep Motion and Dark Ocean both on Purefm.com. In October 2010, her first EP ‘Fantasma’ featuring her first track ever was released on Deepsessions Recordings with remixes by Bobby Deep, Ezequiel Marotte, Haroun Omar, Aural Frequency and Abraham Jimenez and gained support from Gerardo Boscarino, Markus Schultz and many others. She worked with Bobby Deep again when her vocals were featured in his lovely track ‘Twilight Burns’ that was released in January 2011 on Acuna Boyz Productions. She’s just getting warmed up and there will be much more to come very soon.
