Elli Altenberger

Being born in 1997, in Austria, Elli Altenberger is definitely a newcomer who has made herself a name in just a short time. In 2015 Elli hosted the first drum and bass party “Hüttenfeierei”, which shortly turned into a well-known event series all around Austria. “At one point I wanted to know more about the music and the scene I am working with – If something had happened I would not even know how to turn off the music on the Mixer- so I started to get into the technical side of things, which quickly turned into a love for my own style of playing music- I knew I would never be able to stop playing ever in my life” After her first official gig in Vienna in April 2019 she already played on three continents just 8 months afterwards- Europe, Asia and Australia. Being based in Berlin and having lived there since 2015 her sound stems from Berlin’s house and dance/disco scene. Elli Altenberger has a hang for infectious uplifting Chicago- house, chunky rhythms but also a minimalistic touch if the dancefloor allows it. She is not defined by a single genre; always ready to either do a funky house set to start the night or play the main room with some deep and heavy baselines. Being a resident DJ at Austria’s underground “Altholz Gipfeltreffen festival” and club-nights she quickly gained attention for herself. She is regularly welcomed to play at Berlin’s Sisyphos, Süss war gestern, Polygon, Fiese Remise and more. The highlights of her DJ career would include: “Breakfast Club” Melbourne, “Sisyphos “ Berlin, “Rummelsbucht” Berlin, “Vault” Bali/Indonesia and “Back2Nature Festival Innsbruck.
