Born out of vivid memory, emotion and an undeniable relationship to sound, Michael Snyder aka eidetaker provokes and evokes visual flashbacks and instances of what might exist in the future of sonic experience. NATURE predominates his awareness, dreams and responses to surrounding realities that he lives and creates in. He utilizes all of these to openly determine a reaction and then journeys into many variations of form or consequence sonically. Growing up on a remote plot of land at the edge of the Everglades in Florida, he was always exposed to the most extreme elements, wildlife and deep unknowns. You can feel this distinction when exposed to his lush sound palette and compositions as well as his curations within remixing and compilations. He currently resides in San Francisco where he continues to create both music and visual art as well as fortifies his part in a cooperation with artist Robert Solheim from Norway. They formed the musical act known as AQUAVIT and released their first music collaboration, Telepatía in 2008. Following that sonic release, Robert and Michael then went on to develop and materialize the outstanding and multi-faceted record label known as Aquavit Records, where they both continue to redefine and ignite newness into the vast worlds of sound and aural experiences.
