Dubs Unique

Bren Hughes, aka Dubs Unique, is a Liverpool-based DJ with roots in the early days of electronic music. He first got behind the decks in 1991–92, drawn to the emerging progressive house sound, and what started as a hobby quickly became a long-running journey through deeper, more hypnotic underground music. Over the years Bren has played everything from local parties to a monthly residency in Halesowen (2010–2011), and later brought his sound to wider crowds at Retro Trax Festival (2012–2013). Today, he continues to push his signature style on the airwaves with DUGA-3, his monthly show on Mixpub Radio (4th Tuesday, 7:00–8:30pm), alongside his weekly Mixcloud stream Area 51. Expect deep progressive grooves, dreamy soundscapes, and dancefloor-focused hitters—often with a subtle Latin flavour—crafted for late-night journeys and heads-down moments alike
