DJ Loutka can rightly be considered a cornerstone of the underground electronic music scene. Having started his career in 1991, he is one of the first house DJs and his activities contributed substantially to the development of underground electronic music in the country. His beginnings are associated with now legendary events in the early nineties at Prague’s Roxy club, Radost FX and Ládví which played host to a number of respected international artists of the period. These events are fundamental pillars that started the club scene in the country. Well worth mentioning is his residency at a party at the Roxy called Shake which, thanks to its unforgettable atmosphere, became known throughout Europe and kick started his international career. It was then he began to appear on the line-ups of major clubs and festivals both in the Czech Republic and further afield. His idiosyncratic style that incorporates both story and emotions has been appreciated by audiences in Holland, Spain, Germany, USA, UK, Belgium, Slovakia, Costa Rica, Macedonia, Poland and Bulgaria. By the turn of the millennium Loutka had under his belt several music releases; namely Milky Way, Second, Third and Fourth (for which Silicone Soul were on remix duties). Even after 25-years on the scene, Loutka is still one of the leading artists in the field of electronic music in the Czech Republic, playing alongside artists such as Solomun, Joris Voorn, Kollektiv Turmstrasse....and many others. Also worth mentioning is his latest piece of music called Barffy & Ženy for which he teamed up with DJ Subgate and which features several remixes.
