In 2004, Chris began his adventure into underground music in Damascus, Syria. He started playing at small gatherings, and house parties. As he honed his skills, he landed gigs at some top clubs in the city. Techno was his genre of choice, with Richie Hawtin, Recondite, and Chris Liebing being his major influences. In 2013, Chris's journey took him to Doha, Qatar. There, he connected with fellow DJs who were equally passionate about the underground scene. Together, they organized memorable desert and boat parties that were all about music. Recently, Chris felt techno was losing its underground soul due to commercialization and it becomes more about making money than having fun and enjoying the music. This led him to explore Romanian minimal music, or “Rominimal.” Inspired by artists like Raresh, Arapu, Sonja Moonear, Chris Stussy, and Djoko, Chris now focuses on minimal music, keeping the true spirit of the underground alive.
