Atroxx

A deep, dark bassline pulsates through a dark room. A bouncy groove cuts through the air, giving the packed dancefloor no choice but to move as splashes of light glow across their smiling faces. It’s 4am and Atroxx is behind the decks. The new incarnation of Montreal’s Gino Laposta (Gino G), Atroxx cuts through the ordinary to create a unique brand of heavy, driving techno that keeps feet hitting floor until the sun is high in the sky. Atroxx’s sound is forged out of influences like Victor Calderone, Marcel Dettmann and James Holden. As his aggressive, industrial-style basslines sweep over you, his vibrant melodies blend in to create a soundscape ripe with ear-pleasing grooves. A lifelong musician raised by a lifelong musician, percussion runs through Atroxx’s blood. In his young techno career, he’s drawn praise for releases on Unity, Moan, and MKT and rocked crowds at a host of clubs including the legendary Stereo in Montreal. Get ready for the ride, Atroxx is just getting started.
