Alex Efe

Alex Efe is a Uruguayan DJ and music producer based in Montevideo, Uruguay, whose musical journey has been shaped by a deep curiosity for electronic music and its constant evolution. Focused on House and its different variations, his sound is strongly influenced by the aesthetics of Global Underground and artists such as Sasha, Nick Warren and John Digweed. For Alex, music has always been connected to memory and personal experience. Some of his earliest musical memories come from hearing electronic music in films and television commercials, later discovering artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. Throughout the years, music has become a continuous process of exploration, self-discovery and evolution, with a particular interest in sounds, textures and new production techniques. His productions have received support from artists including Hernan Cattaneo, Weird Sounding Dude, Simply City, Marcelo Vasami, DJ Rudy, Cream, Mayro and Ricky Ryan. His music has been released on labels such as Electronic Groove Records, Lake Underground, Starlight Group, Future Avenue, AH Digital and OneDotSixTwo. Since 2011, Alex has been involved in the Clubbing Mvd project alongside Diego Berrondo, as well as Progressive House Uruguay, contributing to the development of the local electronic music scene through events, promotion and support for emerging talent. His musical journey has taken him to perform in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Brazil. Beyond the stages and releases, Alex continues to see music as a way of connecting experiences, places and people, with the ambition of sharing his sound internationally while creating opportunities for new artists from Uruguay.
