Aidan Rice

Aidan Rice presents what can only be described as a smooth blend of deep progressive trance, ambient breaks and tribal house. His track selection and mixing technique allows the flexibility to transform what music he spins into a cascade of harmonic and constant pleasure. A pioneer of the resurgence of underground electronica and progressive house in the very early 200’s, Aidan’s DJing career escalated quickly to one of Queensland’s (AU) most highly respected purveyors and promoters. Aidan progressed from bedroom banger to heat winner and competition finalist at the DJ Wars to promoting his own events with support from contracted management Jencorp Agency virtually overnight. Aidan’s musical taste and the ability to fuse all the facets of the progressive genre had seen him hold residencies at seminal nights such as J-flight, Instinct, Arrivals, Phunk You, Intimate & Exposed supporting the likes of, Tigz (Syd), Pete Heary (Syd), Robbie Lowe (Syd), KC Chong (Brunei), Luke Chable, Jono Fernandez, Misja Helsloot (NL), Chris Fortier (USA), Klaus Heavyweight Hill (UK), Steve Gerard (UK), Kasey Taylor (AUS), Mathew Dekay (NL), 4Strings (NL), James Holden (UK) to name a few. Aidan had the responsibility of taking over the reigns from Peter Mogg on 102.1FM 4ZZZ’s Crucial Cutz radio show, Brisbane’s traditional Saturday night warm up show showcasing exclusive mixes from established DJs locally and internationally and also launching the careers of many local DJs including Resolutions' very own Rich Curtis. While the local gigs and touring may now have slowed down, Aidan is still posting regular mixes and playing the odd gig in Brisbane & along the East Coast of Australia.
