Adrian Rodriguez

It was at the tender age of just 13 that Adrian first discovered house music. After listening to a mixtape, given to him by his older brother, he was fascinated by this wonderful sound. One of his biggest influences, growing up, was Markus Schulz. Being born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Adrian was lucky enough to have Markus' early years happen right on his doorstep. He bought his first pair of turntables at 17. Most weekends Adrian would spend hours searching through vinyl at the 'Plastik Records' store which also happened to be owned by Markus & Heather Schulz. Adrian also remembers his first Markus gig at "The Works", fondly - "It was like nothing else I'd ever heard before". It soon became clear that Adrian preferred the darker, more progressive side of Trance. Adrian's other influences include Sasha & Digweed, Paul Van Dyk and Timo Mass. These days, Adrian prides himself on supporting upcoming/smaller name artists that many people wouldn't have heard of, and trawling through the internet for hidden gems to play on his shows. He's done guestmixes for various shows playing the sound he's known for now, which consists of beautiful melodic progressive sounds mixed with techno & house tracks. Adrian's method of making mixes is simple "My mixes are like telling a story, it should take you through various journeys from the instant the first track starts, all the way to the last resonating beat". Adrian plays regularly in his home town and also has radio shows on Afterhours FM (Serious Sessions) and TM Radio (Transparent Waves)
